Parish Life

Parish events, interest groups and small group gatherings are just part of the way we offer hospitability and fellowship at St. John’s. Our mission is to insure strong relationships among all our parishioners. These relationships are the bonds that hold our community together.

St. John’s is a lively congregation, both socially and intellectually.  For us, membership means far more than “church on Sunday.”  Many of us have formed significant relationships with those we have met at St. John’s and we come together often to socialize, share, and deepen our theological understanding.  It is a community of great humor and spontaneity where differences are not merely tolerated, but embraced.

St. John’s is a close community and offers many chances for fellowship.  Social hour is held every Sunday after the 10:30 a.m. service.  There are also special events during Advent and Lent, as well as annual picnics, back-to-school and thanksgiving potluck gatherings.

The youth group meets after Church often, and plan many special events and trips during the year.

There are also many opportunities to work with others serving on a St. John’s committee, whatever your interests are.  Altar Guild, Coffee Teams and Outreach committee, are just some of the active committees at St. John’s
